Tommy Darland graduated from Texas Tech University, located in Lubbock, Texas in 1985.  He began his golf career as an assistant pro and shortly thereafter, became the head golf professional of several different public, corporate and private country clubs in Texas. He became the Director of Golf for Anthem Country Club in 2006 with over 22 years of PGA experience Tommy brings a vast knowledge of the Country Club business to Anthem.  He and his staff recognize the importance of professional and personal service at all times by the unique and special services he and his staff provide on a daily basis. Tommy has quickly established a strong junior program that boasts of not only area fame but national fame for several of our junior golfers, a golf shop that offers a full array of men, women’s and junior’s golf and tennis attire, and a reputation as a leading golf instructor. Using his indepth knowledge gained while hosting Nike Tour and Champions Tour events in Texas, he has established an in depth tournament schedule for the men, women, and couples of Anthem. Many of the member tournaments are wait-list only. The Member-Member and Member-Guest Tournament are considered  the best in the valley.  

Tommy is married to his college sweet heart and wife of 23 years, Tammy. They have two children, their daughter Taylor, a Junior at Texas Tech University and their son Tad, a Junior at Coronado High School. Tommy's interests also include serving on several boards, fly fishing when he has the opportunity and has recently put away the skis for a snowboard to keep up with his kids. He is also active in his local church.
